I am home!!! and alive!

this Dr. Sketchy's tour is over. It was a blast. I'll post more details (and photos) after a nap. =P

1)This Wednesday, at Bordello, I will be performing in Peepshow Menagerie's "Famous MonsterGirls of Burlesque" show! aaannndd I'm apparently the "special guest"! woo hoo!

2) Halloween! I will be in Vegas for Fangoria's "Trinity of Terrors" convention! eeeeek!!!! I'm bringin' a couple of zombies on stilts. If I can get it together, they'll let me show my art... at the Fangoria booth... behind Bruce frikkin' Campbell!!! umm... I think that I just died a little.

I had so much fun with this. I wanted classic, dramatically lit photos with really nasty looking stitches. =)
I've only gotten a few back so far, but I'm really liking them!

I've gotten to do a couple of nifty gigs lately. Things are getting better on the gig-getting front... not good enough to pay my bills... but maybe someday...?

speaking of which... anybody know how you go about working as a gogo dancer? I'm looking to maybe be more involved in the club scene in the future... and thought it might help me to make ends meet... maybe.

anywho... busy but stressed over here. how's everyone else doing?

I've also been hired by Dr. Sketchy's again! This one if for a promotional event in San Deigo... I should get all the details this weekend. I'm mostly just excited that they want to work with me again. That means that I did a GOOD JOB last time! wheeee! so... yeah.

and we have electricity now.. (the first few days were like camping =P)

sooo... if I've been behind on emails and the like, please forgive me. I'll catch up in the next couple of days.

I'm now in Long Beach, right by the metro. It's waaay easier to get to LA for gigs and the like. so yay for that! Also, we have a craft room! complete with a zombie-headed dress form named Amelia.

I'm excited to have a space where I'll actually be comfortable having people over.

I am SO frikkin' sore..... yay!!!

I did an aerial hoop trixie last night... and then played on the hoop all frikkin' day at Rockystock. Thank you so much to everyone for playing with me! I'm bruised, sore, and scratched up... and couldn't be happier about it!

Soooo.... I've been in a bit of a funk, lately..

but, there are a hell of a lot of positive things goin' on, I'm just having a bit of trouble focusing on them..

so... in an attempt to do that... here's some happy positive stuff!

for anyone who doesn't already know, tomorrow is going to be a frikkin' awesome show at Rocky. It's Bill's 20th anniversary show, and there will be much hoopla made of it. We have several Janets performing(including me!), and I'll also be doing flying Trixie on aerial hoop!!!

I'm also going to be modeling at the next Dr. Sketchy's. We're gonna try to hang the tissue. =) I'm really excited about this. I've been wanting to work with them for awhile, and they work with some frikkin' awesome models. I just happened to meet the guy who's now running the thing at Fangoria, and HE actually asked ME to work with them! yay!

I also have several stilting gigs coming up.. which is frikkin' awesome.

aaannnnddd... I'm gonna bring stuff to fly on to Rockystock this Sunday. at least a tissue will be there, and maybe a hoop. who wants to play with me?

I also wanted to thank all of the other girls in the contest, just for being frikkin' awesome! I was so nervous about meeting everyone... and it ended up with everyone cheering for each other back stage. You guys frikkin' RULE! anywho... in other news, the burlesque show went really well. everyone was super nice, and there were a couple of really fantastic acts. I think that I did pretty well for my first time. I know that it could have been a cleaner set, but it was well received anyhow. oh! and I got booked for 2 more shows next month! I have to confirm one of them, but yay! I got booked RIGHT AFTER my routine. I'm still all nekkid... and one of the ladies who produces the Monday Night Tease comes back and tells me that she has a different show that she'd like for me to do that same act in, that she loved it and it would fit in really well! woo hoo! I'm gonna clean up the number and make it shinier. but I'm so excited!

I'm crazy nervous, and excited. =D

I haven't updated in awhile.

I had a great vacation. went to san francisco and santa cruz. woo hoo! met new people, got to know people better... saw new places, did new things... even managed to squeeze some flying in! ummm... dood.

than, immediately upon returning home... the world smacked me around pretty hard core for a few days.

so... I spent the last couple of days just kind of going "... ummmm... what?" and trying to balance all the awesome and all of the crappy that just happened. I feel better and balanced again, now, so yay.

aaaannnnddd.. today was frikkin' awesome! I had hoop class in the morning. I did much better than I thought that I would. I'm still feeling a bit rusty in general, but I'm stronger and more comfortable on the hoop than I thought that I would be.

I refreshed some moves that are specifically difficult and/or scary for me... and also did some stuff for the first time! yay!

so. a good class is pretty much all I need for a happy day. but wait! there's more!

I got to go with some good friends to see frikkin' Maria Bamford tonight! I frikkin' LOVE her! not only that, but she was playing at the ART THEATER!! I hadn't seen the place since we stopped performing there. the re-model is crazy! there's a coffee shop where the ladies room used to be. I bought a cookie and coffee in the place where I got changed for my first trixie... my first janet... it was odd.

the show was absolutely fantastic. most of the other comedians were actually pretty good, and Maria was fantastic. her act seemed to be about 2/3 new material, which was really nifty. did I mention that I'm going to marry that woman some day? I mean... I should probably be brave enough to say hello first... but it'll happen. =P

I'm so bad about posting these things... but....

Elizabeth and I will be performing aerial hoop (lyra) at Kink ball on Saturday, February 14th! (ummmm.... today..=P)

Nothing says Valentine's Day like scantily clad girls spinning in the air!
